Is the Fashion-R-Us Group free to join? Yes. It is free. Soon the open enrollment will be closed and joining will be possible on recommendation / invitation only. You can join to receive valuable information of some great brand designers, updates and gifts. To be joined as a Vendor Designer you need to apply at the website or send us IM if you have additional questions. What do I need to be considered as a Designer? To be a Vendor Designer you need to have a shop and sell your creations there. To join the one-time fee of $800L will be applied! Once the Vendors hit 500, the fee for joining will be multiplied (lets see how far it will go :D) . How can I apply? Send me a notecard in-world with your store information, your SL Avatar name and pics of your producs / or store. Why some designers cannot and are not joined as Vendors? We totally respect the urge and desire to create, but in some cases.. some people are eager to make quick buck instead of taking time and IMPROVE their creations. I, Rosablanka Allen, am no judge of "how good you are", I only supervise MY group, let's not turn it into trash, pls :)) You may not be accepted at first because: You did NOT make the creations (and you didn't mention you are only the manager - which is acceptable)! Too FEW products to offer! - (you are JUST starting) or you have a 20 prim "rented store" or the store which is not organized (too many freebies around, too many flashes, scripts, club rented store - newbie like). Poor quality on your products?! >> (example - T-shirt - no shades, one design - many different colors, nothing special, freebie looking product, bad pattern dresses, please.. take your time on your textures - they are truly essential for all your designs (EXCEPT BUT not 100% - for jewelry) Really bad quality on AD BOARDS!! - fuzzy, blurry images, bad lighting, newbie skins on models. Having Rented store with VENDORS Only - having "rented" store itself is not a problem, but we advise as soon as you can afford to get your own land and stick with it. Having "Vendor" Systems as your ONLY boards is not accepted - they tend to be heavy (lag) and not so enjoyable on browsing. (You can imagine sending notice for your new releases and having 50 people in your store "fighting" over your Vendors to preview releases and clothes Can resellers apply? NO RESELLERS. Original art and fashion only! Reseller CAN be assigned ONLY with personal permission of a Brand Designer who doesn't have the time and is NOT in Fashion-R-Us Group. You can be a reseller (usually called - MANAGER) on his/hers behalf. Reseller info: For those of you that use full perm helpers (shoes, sculpties, textures, etc) - it is OK if you do at least 50% of editing the "KIT" items you bought. Resellers Kit is usually sold to help your creations, they are "blank" - this means you can paint them with your own vision of art and combine with other personally build items of yours or mixed with different kits. We would like to avoid having 2 brand designers releasing the "same" items. Already done "reseller" packs and freebies are NOT allowed. I am a Designer but I do not have any space open for new groups, even though would like to join. Yes, you can. You can be a Silent Vendor and this means you can participate in the website and be able to sent online notices and not join the group. What is the difference between Vendor and Premium Designer? Any Designer of original creations can apply to be a Vendor in Fashion-R-Us group. Premiums are personally picked, therefore have more privileges. How can I be considered as a Premium Designer? To be signed as Premium all depends on what creations you have, type of ad (pictures, the way you present your brand, lightening, skins (models), layout), how often you have new items and what quality your items are. When I APPLY I see that have to choose a category I will be assigned? How is that? WE would like to have clear way of shoppers finding the designer they look for. That's why we included a DESIGNERS page on our website and when you apply your info go there. You can fall under certain category if you have MORE than 10 products of the category. Otherwise you can be assigned to MIXED category. If you really don't feel you can be on 1 category, we can sign you to up to 3 different ones with your info - and therefore you can send us 3 different Brand pictures on the products you emphasize. Can I ask a quick question in IM chat group? Unfortunately not at this time. The watch-dog Eliana will automatically ban anyone that chats in the group. Why do I have restriction on "Title of Notice" or any other kind of "Title"? It is simply because we want to put order in the mess of SL. More "strict" headlines get better attention - straight to the point "what is in the notice?". What is the difference of those 3 types of notices? First and important you don't need to release all your old designs to get traffic and attention. That is why 2 NEW releases per week rules apply. As for 1 Gift and 1 New product rule is a nice way to say "thanks" to your customers and still be able to release / present something new. YOu can send a notecard with information and description of the gift and new product. Then sometimes anybody can get stuck in RL, busy or unprepared for a new week release, so you can still be able to get customers to visit your shop by 1 GIFT (sent to the group directly) and 1 SALE event, even though you don't have anything new to release! Be aware that if you would like to give away a Gift - it should be different each week, but SALE event you can have on same items. Sales MUST be at least 50% less than the original price of the item. What if I don't have 2 new items to release? Am I required to send notice? NOT at all. You are not required to send each week a new notice, but limit your notice releases per 1 a week of the above described. If you don't have anything new to release, but would like to send notice - the 3rd rule for group notices applies - just offer a gift and items on sale (at least 50% of original price) for the shoppers in the group and send your notecard with details and pictures. I have made 1 item but it comes with different colors, can I release a notice about it? A note of rule 1) at least "2 new releases" does NOT cover 1 item but different colors. 1 item = 1 model. I noticed my Vendor Tag disappeared and I am a regular user of the group now. Why? This means that you have sent too many notices for a shorter period of time that is against the rules. Your vendor abilities will be restored in a week or two after. I am NOT satisfied from one designer in the group, I would like to express my feelings. Absolutely NOT! We respect our designers and there will be NO banishing in the group.
